Drachm (Silver, 33 mm, 3.53 g, 10 h), ʿAbbasid Governors of Eastern Sistan, Class IV, SK (Sijistan/Sistan), circa AH 138-141 / AD 755-758. Khosrau-type bust to right, wearing crown; behind head, ‘GDE ʾp̄zwt’ (‘[may his] glory increase’ in Pahlavi); before head, ‘hwslwb’, i.e. ‘Husraw’ (‘Khosrau’ in Pahlavi); in outer margin, ‘Sulaymān ˗ bism Allāh rabbī’ (‘Sulayman. In the name of Allah, my Lord’ in Arabic)’. Rev. Fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants; pseudo Pahlavi legend to left; to right, SK (abbreviation for the name of the mint in Pahlavi). Album 80. Zeno-201012 (this coin). Very rare. Areas of weakness and somewhat rough, otherwise, very fine.
